10 years - in pictures
So, 10 years a group of us started conversation and hanging around each other in order to find ways to add to our thinking, refine our faith, and add new skill sets in an effort to reimagine faith in our day.
At the time we had little idea where it would go, but we ate, laughed, talked, talked, and talked.
And we traveled. One such travel was to New Mexico for an event. The event was sponsored by my then employer Leadership Network.
Well, the other day an enveloped arrived in the mail. It contained pictures and a note. They were from DJ Chuang, who now works for Leadership Network.
The note said, “figured you could do more with these pix than me”.
Got that right I thought, thems is blog worthy.
So from a decade ago a few shots including Sally Morgenthaller, Brian McLaren, Mark Driscoll, Andrew Jones and a younger, glasses and vest wearing me.
Wow. 10 years seems like a long time ago.

How do I say this in a nice way? Has this 10 years been good to you but bad to your waistline?

I want to publicly apologise if the above comment was rude. It was meant to be funny but might have failed.

you know, if you had said whatever it was you were thinking when you were looking at Mark that way, you could have saved a lot of people a lot of trouble.

I didn’t realize the design of the “Crystal Geyser” bottled-water wrapper hadn’t changed in at least a decade.

As Demetri Martin once said:
“I think vests are all about protection. You know what I mean? Like a life vest protects you from drowning and bulletproof vests protect you from getting shot and the sweater vest protects you from pretty girls. ‘Leave me alone. Can’t you see I’m cold just right here?’”
You are very lucky to be from MN - you are gifted that you were already married when this happened.

I love that in each photo there is an onlooker who has “what the hell are you going on about?” written all over their face.

Hey Doug - if you still have that sweater, I’ll buy it from you. When you get old like me, sweater vests become a clothing staple. Blessings, Jim
