Heading to El Salvador
I am going to be in El Salvador this week on a “Familiarization Trip” with Compassion Internaltional.
Compassion is one of the sponsors of the Church Basement Roadshow this summer. As part of the tour we are going to be giving people the opportunity to sponsor a child. This trip is a chance to learn a bit more about what they do and allow is to shoot some video for the presentation.
I will be providing an opportunity for people to sign-up for sponsorship here on my site as well, so if you are interested keep your eyes open for that.

That’s awesome. My wife is originally from El Salvador and we sponsor a little girl from there through Compassion. We want to go visit. Great organization.

I’m not a regular visitor of your site, but I do remember listening to you years ago at Camp Shamineau on the crucifixion of Christ. At any rate, I recently picked up a book called “Why We’re Not Emergent.” Your name seems to get dropped quite a bit in the book, and the authors have expressed interest in reviews and comments from the people they are critiquing. I’m just curious if you have any plans of doing such. From what I hear the book is more or less hot off the press, and with the business of life you may not even have read it yet.
Anyway, I hope your time in El Salvador is great. Forgive me for not commenting in direct relation to your post.
