We visited two Compassion sites on our second day.

Heading to El Salvador

I am going to be in El Salvador this week on a “Familiarization Trip” with Compassion Internaltional.
Compassion is one of the sponsors of the Church Basement Roadshow this summer. As part of the tour we are going to be giving people the opportunity to sponsor a child. This trip is a chance to learn a bit more about what they do and allow is to shoot some video for the presentation.
I will be providing an opportunity for people to sign-up for sponsorship here on my site as well, so if you are interested keep your eyes open for that.
Seattle and Portland this week

On Monday I am heading to Seattle for the Seeds of Compassion Event.
I am part of a breakfast and panel on Tuesday. The session can be viewed on the website.
I will be doing my own updates of pictures, audio and maybe some video here.
On Wednesday I will be in Portland with the Evergreen Community. Bob Hyatt is hosting a get together Wednesday night that is open to all. You can contact Bob at info@evergreenlife.org if you are interested in joining us.
Emerging Church for Existing Church Event in Denver

I am at an event in Denver with a bunch of friends from around the country. The event is intended for people in existing churches to dialog with emerging ideas.

Heading to Portland April 16

I will be in Portland, Oregon April 16 - come and join in the fun.
Following the Seeds of Compassion Event with the Dalai Lama on April 14th and 15th I will be in Portland Wednesday, April 16 for an event that Bob Hyatt and I are puttingtogether. The location is still being worked out but the event will run in the evening starting at 7:30. More details will be posted here as the come together.
Among the content for the evening I will present some of the ideas from A Christianity Worth Believing and there will be conversation and discussion especially around the first 3 chapters which you can read in the table of content section here. The event will cost $10 (payable at the door) and the first 50 people will receive a copy of BodyPrayer.
