Yesterday, on my Radio Show I had a conversation with Chris Rosebrough of Fighting For The Faith and Pirate Christian Radio about his take on why people from his network and stream of faith are so willing to speak about me and others the way they do. I wanted to reflect on it a bit more here.
(I sent this post to Chris and got his “sign-off on it” in an effort to “talk-with” and not “talk-about” people and to be sure I did not mischaracterize him .)
Here is a selection of things said about me just from the last week that I asked Chris to help me understand: (more…)

As you may be aware I have been running a practice radio show for the last 7 months on BlogTalkRadio. It was a great experience. I learned the rhythms of daily and weekly shows. I was basically giving the radio host thing a try to see if I could do, and if I wanted to do.
I have answered yes to both questions.
Through a contact from my friend Rich Buendorf I was able to meet the folks at AM950 in the Twin Cities. We have put together a show that will air Sundays from 10AM-12Noon. The show will be available online at DougPagittRadio.com.
Details on the program are at the site.
The show starts September 13, I hope you can join me.

The blogtalk radio show T,he Question, that I have been hosting since January is moving to Broadcast Radio.
Starting in September I will be hosting a 2 hour Sunday morning show from 10 a.m.-Noon on AM950 KTNF in Minneapolis/St.Paul.
In addition to the Minneapolis/St.Paul broadcast the new show will be available by live streaming and on podcast archives.
The show will have a slightly different format and most likely a new name, but it will keep the humor, pacing and broad topical spread from The Question.
I am excited about this new opportunity. We are looking for sponsors and advertisers for the show, so if you are interested let me know and I will get the information to you.
Today’s abbreviated edition of The Question was the last, thank you to all who have enjoyed and participated in the show. I will keep you up to date on developments of the new show and I hope to connect with you all in September.

Starting today and next week with trial shows and “Real” shows January 12 I will begin to broadcast on BlogTalkRadio. My 1 hour show will air live at 10 AM Monday – Friday and be available as an archive.
The show is called The Question and will feature me raising what I think is the better question to be asked. The show will include 1/2 hour of my and a 1/2 hour with a topical guest host each day. Topics will include Politics, Natural Health, Parenting, Home Repair, Religion, Science. The show includes call in’s for listeners.
Essentially this is going to be my way of regular blogging and podcasting.
I have thought about a radio show since my senior year in college listening to the then new KQRS morning show while driving the early morning high school bus route. And my mom has always said I have a face for radio.
I am excited about the promise of internet radio but am also willing to be syndicated on over-the-air stations is there are any program managers reading or listening – hint.
If you want to listen in to my working out the technical and structural details of the show this week or next week please do, but grant some grace as I get my sea legs.
