While we are tired and we are filled with encouragement and hope. It has been so good to join with people all over the country and see the great things they are doing.
We all miss our families and so look forward to being home with them on Tuesday.
We are mixed with feelings of sadness at the end of the tour and relief that we can return to normal life. But most of all we are ecstatic at the chance to shave off these beards. For me I am not so thrilled to get rid of my beard as I am to be able to look at Tony and Mark without theirs. Good Grief.

In an effort with Relevant.com our publisher Jossey-Bass an imprint of Wiley, has launched a site called ReThink Christianity (www.RethinkChristianity.com) featuring our (tony, mark and me) books.

The site is designed to be interactive with posts and videos.
Each week we will have a new question that we are looking for a written or video response to.
We will have a “video confession booth” at each of our church basement roadshows, so if you are at the show shoot your video there.
The site has just launched and needs your videos. Head on over and give us a response to this weeks question “Why do you think that so many people are questioning the traditional ways of doing church?”

In case you have somehow missed this on my blog I am part of a traveling show this summer www.ChurchBasementRoadshow.com.
We are kicking off the second leg of the national tour tormorrow, Friday at 7 PM at Solomon’s Porch.
I am guessing the place will be full so if you are going to come think about arriving a bit early.

After the first 12 shows of the Church Basement Roadshow, which went great, we have learned a few things about our schedule and work flow.
Part of what we have learned is that we need a certain amount of set-up time before the show. This means that shows we have scheduled in places where they have a church meeting just before our show does not work very well.
So, we are making some adjustments to the schedule or locations in those instances.
This has presented itself in Houston. We are still being supported by Ekklecia Houston but we will not be in their building on Sunday night.
So, we are looking for a host site in the Houston area Sunday night, July 20.
We are looking for a place that seats a couple hundred people and where we can get in around 3 PM. We provide all our own sound and lights so there is no need for any of that.
If you are interested in hosting the show July 20 email me.

This summer Tony Jones, Mark Scandrette and I will be hitting a the road on a creative, one-of-a-kind book tour.
We each have books with Jossey-Bass publishers and have combined our efforts to not only promote our books but to spread the invitation to participate in the world with God.
What we have put together is a 90 minute show based on not only our books but also our 1908 alter-egos - revivalists -Preacher A.L. Withee, Big Brother Duke and Professor A.W. Hawthorne.
