Endorsement for A Christianity Worth Believing

Being just weeks out from the release of A Christianity Worth Believing reviews are starting to roll in.

Here is one from my friend Aaron Niequist - who has just released his own fabulous CD

and is married to Shawna who authored the terrific book Cold Tangerines.

I read your book yesterday, nearly strait through on a flight (which is unheard of for Mr. A.D.D.) Doug, I absolutely loved it and got swept up in it and have been thinking about it all day. The look into the Hellenization of not just the language, but the actual story was really profound to me - and helped some things make a ton more sense. My favorite quote was in chapter 10: “I don’t believe that sin is more powerful than God”. Such deep implications for thinking about grace. And I think that my favorite passage was the last two pages of You Say You Want a Revolution. Jesus was resurrected with scars.

This is such an important book. Lots and lots of people need to read it. Somehow, you were able to be bravely deconstructive while absolutely committed to hope and beauty. . .to wrestling the gospel back into good news. So inspiring.

Way to go, my friend.
