Roger Olson was my guest on Doug Pagitt Radio on Sunday August 7. We discussed the rise of what I referred to as the Neo-Calvinist Cabal within Evangelicalism that is trying to tell everyone what it means to be Evangelical and in my view taking up the role of the fundamentalists in the 20th Century situation that birthed Evangelicalism in the 1940’s.
Roger has two books coming in 2011 on this topic: Against Calvinism: Rescuing God’s Reputation from Radical Reformed Theology and he is part of Four Views book on Evangelicalism.
We talk about the situation in segment 1 and in segment 2 Roger suggests some reasons why he thinks so many young men are attracted to Neo-Calvinism. In Segment 3 we discuss a hopeful future.
