I realized something today. I have been to a lot of learning events in my life. Like dozens every year. It dawned on me today that at every event I have been to (and I do think it is true, every event) I have met someone who has made my life better. I have met people who have become friends, mentors, heros, and coconspirators. This has happened at events that were really good and events that were a bit of a bust. It doesn’t seem to matter the quality of the event itself, there have always been who have made it worth it.
So, I am confident in extrapolating this axiom: if you want a better life go to an event and meet people.
Here are events I will part of in the next few months if you need somewhere to go and test my theory.
